Sodium Chloride VS Nitrates/Nitrites as Preservatives

In this article we take a look at some of the commonly used sodium-based preservatives that are used in food products. As you know, there is a global issue surrounding the increase in deaths caused by heart attacks and strokes. An increase in sodium into our bloodstream elevates our blood pressure which makes us vulnerable to heart attacks and strokes.
